These were taken at Sandy Camp Road Wetlands Reserve in Brisbane not far from where I live. I work in the city and often see ibises scavenging through bins so it was great to see them and other birds in their natural habitat.

You could have told me it was Green Cay wetland here – they look so much alike! Great shots, Norma!

Yes I just googled it and they are very similar indeed minus the alligators 🙂
I was there at about 8.30am which I feel is too late in the morning but I’ll definitely go back at an earlier time to see if I can catch more wildlife. Thanks for the visit 🙂

A beautiful scene. I presume the plants are water lilies – I’ very fond of them and the way add so much to the image.

A change from the typical Brisbane view. I see ibises all the time in the city scavenging in bins. It would be different seeing them in their natural habit. Lovely shots, Norma.

Sorry for the late reply Lignum. Yeah it’s sad really. We overtook their habitats and now everyone hates them. I don’t mind the little bugger 🙂

Your wetlands are nothing like ours. Ours should be called damplands at best because there’s usually very little water and even fewer birds or wildlife.

We have a few areas around Brisbane. Lots of mosquitos when it rains but really nice to see 🙂
