Misty Water

We went to the beach this weekend and I took my first long exposure beach photos. I have been admiring these sorts of photos for a while so I thought I’d give it a go. These were taken at Marcoola Beach near Coolum on the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane. There are a few rocky areas along the beach which were perfect but the tide was not as high as I would have liked. It was good practise though.

  1. I’m experimenting a little with longer exposures too although it’s hard for me to get out of “auto!” I like your results…

  2. Oh my! These are wonderful! You are doing wonders!

I love them all but the last one is my favourite with the “little fella”! And the water has such a gorgeous effect. And the sky too!! Im looking at them over and over. 🙂 i am in need of a trip to the sea! We are hoping to go for a day next month. It does something extra for the soul. 🙂 xx

    1. Thanks Christine. The tide wasn’t as high as I would have liked but it was good practise for me. I’ll try it again some time soon. I agree with you about the ocean, it is so soul restoring. We really need to do it more often. Thanks for the lovely comments *hug* xx

    1. Thanks Nigel. It’s so soothing watching and listening to waves. The ocean is so soul restoring. We are lucky that it’s only an hour’s drive from here. Thanks for the lovely comment 🙂
