This beautiful old Victorian Gothic style church was opened in 1889. Albert Street Uniting Church (originally Methodist) once stood alone but is now dwarfed by surrounding sky scrapers. King George Square is right across the road. The church is understandably a favourite for weddings.

  1. What great photos! And what a beautiful building. There is incongruence in these pictures isnt there?! Because the modern buildings seem to take over, rhe church looks almost superimposed! 🙂 xx

  2. Nice shots, of a lovely building. Reminds me a bit of a similar place here in Denver — an old church downtown, that a big office building built around… it’s an interesting juxtaposition of old and new…..
